Welcome to Air Force JROTC
Our mission is to develop future citizens of character to serve our communities and nation. We do this through Aerospace studies, Leadership training, Physical training and Community service in a pseudo-military environment. AFJROTC goes beyond being just another class in school with extra-curricular opportunities to learn, lead and grow.

Aerospace Studies

Leadership Training
|
This is a 4 year course with Aerospace History, Science of Flight, Space Exploration, and Global Awareness . The curriculum for all classes is the same. Older cadets are mixed with new so there is active role modeling.
Physical Training
Every Friday we will do Physical Training. Sometimes it's circuit training, altered sports that require adaptation, or the semi-annual Presidential Fitness Test where you prove to yourself you have what it takes to handle physically demanding careers.
|
Leadership is both an art and science and requires both study and practice. You'll be challenged both as both a follower and leader.
Distinct Uniforms
The US Air Force invests over $300 per cadet to use one of their uniforms. Cadets will wear this loaned uniform once a week while maintaining grooming standards to present a professional image.

This program is unique in the sense that it is Cadet-run. After I train them how the plane works, how to fly and am confident they understand the processes involved, I give them the keys and step back and take on the role of advisor. That's when the fun begins.

All the Tools You Need to Succeed
Extra curricular opportunities will abound. There is no reason for anyone to feel left out when cadet run programs such as: Marksmanship training, Drone Training, Model Rocketry, Kitty Hawk (Academic) Air Society, Drill Team, Color Guard, Model Airplane, Ranger Physical Training Team, Officer Staff Meetings, Community Service, etc... will take place throughout the year. Simply sign up and show up!

AFJROTC is a voluntary program. Future cadets sign up because they want to be involved and promise to abide by the rules. This is not a recruiting program for the military but yes, recruiters will be our guests from time to time as a potential career choice for cadets to consider. This program doesn't dabble in behavior modification, nor is the practice of hazing and physical punishment allowed. Instead we encourage cadets to be better than they are, to adapt to standards that will prepare them for real world careers.
